The field is officially set for the 2026 NCAA Men's College World Series in Omaha

The lineup is officially confirmed for the 2026 NCAA Men's College World Series in Omaha, showcasing a blend of traditional powerhouses, SEC stalwarts, and a duo of first-time contenders eager to create history. The eight teams making their way to Omaha include: West Virginia Mountaineers Baseball, Troy Trojans Baseball, North Carolina Tar Heels Baseball, Ole Miss Rebels Baseball, Georgia Bulldogs Baseball, Texas Longhorns Baseball, Alabama Crimson Tide Baseball, and Oklahoma Sooners Baseball. West Virginia and Troy are set for their inaugural appearances in Omaha, while Texas makes a record 39th visit to the College World Series.

**SEC Dominance**

Five of the eight qualifying teams hail from the SEC—Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas, Alabama, and Oklahoma. One quadrant of the bracket is entirely comprised of SEC institutions, ensuring at least one representative from the conference in the championship series. Dominating the landscape, the SEC has claimed every national title since 2019 and continues to lead the pack in college baseball.

**Cinderella Stories**

West Virginia and Troy have emerged as two of the postseason's most compelling narratives. Both programs are poised for their Omaha debuts following outstanding performances in the Super Regionals, aiming to extend their underdog journeys on college baseball's grandest platform.

**Blue Bloods vs. Hungry Challengers**

Texas arrives in Omaha boasting unmatched tradition and a rich history of championships, while North Carolina is on the hunt for its first national title despite several near misses as runner-up. Ole Miss seeks its second championship within five years, and Oklahoma returns to Omaha with aspirations of redemption after finishing as the runner-up in 2022.

**Opening Round Matchups**

The initial bracket features West Virginia facing Troy and North Carolina competing against Ole Miss, creating an intriguing contrast between newcomers and established giants. Each game in Omaha holds significant stakes due to the double-elimination format.
